If you’re a visual person you’ll like this. Favthumbs is a neat little online app that will visualise your del.icio.us bookmarks. You just enter your del.icio.us account details & it will offer you two visualisations – grid & carousel.
The grid shows a thumbnail of each home page. Part of mine looked like this:
The carousel version allows you to scroll through each thumbnail in a circular manner. Mine looked like this:
Try Favthumbs on your own del-icio.us bookmarks.
Photofunia is a great little online app that will let you put your face in a range of places.
All you do is choose the ‘effect’ you want & then upload a photo of your face. You get the choice of downloading the new photo, making it an avatar or publishing it. You can even order a print.
I played around with a couple and below are the results. Make your own.
Tag Galaxy is a neat tool for searching flickr. It works like this….
Go to the Tag Galaxy page & type in your search tag. In this instance I used ‘koala’ – so you can follow along.
Below is the screen that appeared:
I then clicked on ‘cute’ & Tag Galaxy gave me this:
Clicked on ‘furry’:
From here I clicked on the large green globe & saw:
You can use your cursor to turn the globe around & view all of the pictures. I clicked on one particular picture:
Click on the picture & you’ll see who took it & their comments. You can click out to their flickr page from here.
So – if you like this visual way of searching try Tag Galaxy.
I’ve been playing a little more with the site that generated the talking wizard I wrote about yesterday, They have some really cool things there – rather than tell you about them – here are some examples. You can access all of these here.
As well as talking tomatoes you can have talking cats, flowers, owls & squirrels.
You can make your own newspaper clipping like below:
Enjoy these – and as the newpaper clipping says – see if you can come up with good uses for these & let everyone kow thorugh the comments box.
Here’s a fun little text generator. Just enter your own text, press the button and the little character will write your text. The generator will also create HTML code you can use to display the animation on your own website. Here’s an example:

Twittories are stories composed 140 characters at a time by a diverse group of collaborators using Twitter to submit their entry. This was a neat idea that started in December 2007 – but seems to have stalled after the first story.
Maybe you’d like to start your own twittory since this effort seems to have petered out.
